OUR STORY
Gary Mages and Marc Price know all about growth. They grew up together, competing against each other in rival basketball and football teams in high school. They grew into young professionals as students and classmates at the University of Illinois, and then as law students at IIT Chicago Kent College of Law. They grew a common set of values as they toiled over their law books, working side by side and cultivating a work ethic that would someday build their business.
So when they joined together to establish a law firm, it’s no wonder that growth became an underlying motivator for the firm and their clients. Beginning with legal services to their family and friends, it didn’t take long to build a steady clientele. What started as a cross-town firm headquartered in each of their separate residences soon united into their first office space in Northbrook, Illinois. Mages & Price officially opened its doors on February 1, 1991. The founders recall sharing one laptop computer and a phone at first. The firm initially focused on collections. Work came in steadily, aided by referrals from a neighboring law firm which still sends them clients today. It was time to grow…
In 1993, the firm moved to Northfield, and then to Deerfield, Illinois where it had its offices for 15+ years. In 2016, they continued to add staff and moved into their current, larger office space in Buffalo Grove.
Today, Mages & Price is blessed to have staff members who have been at the firm since 1996, and continue to help the practice function efficiently for their clients. The team will tell you it is their stellar teamwork that is paramount to their success and a valuable benefit for clients who choose Mages & Price.
